Welcome back to the podcast, friends!
If you're new here, I'm so glad you found my podcast and we're now connected!
It has been two weeks since I've released a podcast episode, and that was not at all intentional. Before we dive into what today's episode is about, I'd like to apologize for not being consistent with this as some humans are.
This podcast is all about trauma and mental health/awareness and I'm open about being diagnosed with anxiety and depression, so I hope as much as I feel bad for not being able to be consistent the way some people can be, you all understand I'm being as consistent as I can be with my mental health struggles. This month has been rough, and next week I will share what has been going on as well as the coping mechanisms I've been using to try and keep myself in check.
For now, I'd like to share the episode I have slowly been working on the past couple of weeks! Every human will experience something traumatic at least once in their life, this is an unfortunate part of our human experience. For some of us, PTSD may be something we experience in life depending on how our bodies and brains react to a traumatic event. Today we're having a great and important conversation about PTSD, and some of the common myths surrounding it. All mental health diagnoses still have too many stigmas around them, and I want to be a part of helping break them. So friends, let's debunk a few myths surrounding PTSD!
If this episode resonates with you, reach out to me on Instagram (@thisiskaitey is my handle) so we can connect more! If you know someone who needs to hear this, share it on social media and tag me so I can thank you for spreading the word about Triumph After Trauma! I'm so grateful to be connected to you <3
