Perhaps another name for this series could be “The Truths Every Christian Should Believe and How They Change Us”. There are certain core beliefs that are so vital to the Christian faith that without them you cease to be a Christian. This series is meant to help us discern which doctrines are non-negotiable (closed-hand) and which ones leave room for conversations and questions (open-hand). Last week we covered “what” Scripture was; today we look at internal and external evidence to discern whether or not the Bible actually is the Word of God.
