We love our green lawns and living next to green golf courses in big houses surrounded by pristine lawns and swimming pools. We love the convenience of going to the supermarket and picking up anything we want to eat, including Corn Flakes and Corn Chips. But all this comes at a cost.
We dump thousands of gallons of pesticides on the soil to achieve pristine lawns and golf courses. To produce $350 million tons of corn annually in the United States, we cover the crop with toxic pesticides that enter our soil, water, and food supply.
