Peter Volny was a kid in Australia who had a passion for cars. Skipping college to try his career as a race car driver may not have lasted long, but that passion and love for cars continued to grow. After a lackluster performance in the ad agency world where Peter brags about never winning a single award and never falling for any of his own gimmicks, Peter and his wife moved from frigid Canada to beautiful AZ in 2004. The perfect place for a car collector to live. He and his wife started attending the Cars & Coffee at THE SHOPS, traveling to other car shows around the country when the idea to start his own car collectors show came about, Concurs in the Hill. The 100% volunteered run charity car show started with just 200 cars in 2014 and to over 1,000 last year. Here to talk about the love for car collectors in Scottsdale, Concurs in the Hill and Barett-Jackson is none other than Peter Volny.

Attendance is free for spectators so come on out on Saturday February 3 for the 10th annual Concurs in the Hill from 10-3 in the park around the lake in Fountain Hills.

JoJo’s Coffee House 5th Anniversary JOJO Coffeehouse is marking its fifth anniversary on Saturday, January 27 with an all-day breakfast & brunch celebration benefiting Desert Sounds, a local nonprofit providing children access to music and the arts. The Old Town Scottsdale event is open to the public and will include live music, prize giveaways and a Special Winter menu.
