Someone once explained suicide grief as "grief with the volume turned up". It really struck a cord with me, as I really did struggle to accept my Dad's suicide.

Grief is hard, knowing that someone you love has gone can lead to a rollercoaster of emotions. As a British society too, we also struggle to talk about grief and people who've died. But suicide? It's almost like we have to be silent about the loss, but also silent about how it happened.

I've been open and honest in the past about how I lied about my Dad's suicide, how I was angry, how I felt ashamed, and how I suffered in silence personally trying to hide the emotions that came with his death.

In a recent talk for The Grace Dear Trust, I shared how it happened and how I struggled to deal with it. The Grace Dear Trust was set up after they lost their daughter/sister to suicide, so I wanted to talk about suicide bereavement as most people in the audience knew Grace too.

Thanks to you for listening, supporting, and being a part of changing the voice around mental health.

Hopefully you get some value from this episode, and as always don't forget to subscribe!

A rating and a review always helps a Podcast get more exposure too, so if you have a minute spare, I'd truly appreciate it!

Together, let's stand up to the stigma.
