Pairing luxury with sustainability - Frank Eribo Co-Founder of Loci
Manage episode 382890152 series 3527527
This week we’re in conversation with Frank Eribo of Loci and co-founder of Butterfly Twists.
Vegan footwear. It’s as good as it sounds. Loci is taking those small steps that lead to giant leaps forward in sustainable, ethical fashion. By achieving that tricky balance between accessible luxury and sustainability, their recycled foam and cork sneakers are putting their foot down on fashion that detriments the natural world. For each pair of sneakers sold, 10% of profits go towards protecting and conserving marine life. More than just a brand with a unique selling point, they’re keen supporters of green activism, and understand their role and corporate responsibility in their industry, looking to vocalise change every chance they get.
Intrinsic to fashion, materiality is everything. Loci source the plastics for their sneakers solely (pardon the pun) from premium, repurposed ocean plastic. Their production partners share a vision for a more sustainable future, and transparency along the journey from raw materials to the customer is encouraged - holding all involved in the process accountable, driving climate-positive change.
