What is your first reaction when you think about money?

If anxiety or shame arises when it comes to managing your cash, you’re not alone (wait ‘til you hear about my panic-attack moment the first time I met with a new financial advisor).

Or maybe you feel under-educated or in over your head when it comes to making important financial decisions.

My guest today is Meghan Dwyer, a Certified Financial Planner and host of the ‘Money Isn’t Scary’ podcast where she helps women take an active role in their money management.

Society has fed us the narrative that women aren’t competent with money and perpetuates that claim by making a joke out of it on social media (can we stop with the IG Reels about women hiding Amazon boxes from their husbands?).

Meghan aims to empower women to make money decisions out of a sense of abundance and confidence, rather than scarcity and fear.

3 things you’ll learn in this episode:

  1. How societal messages disempower women to take a front seat when it comes to their finances.
  2. The biggest areas where women play small with their money (knowledge, earning, spending, negotiation)
  3. Why you feel like you can’t trust yourself with money and what to do about it
