After a career in the staffing industry, Jake Sydnor founded StaffingKey a year ago to assist US hospital systems in solving their nursing staffing challenges. They specialize in placing highly trained nurses from Canada with full time roles within the US to help address the nursing shortage across the US.
He shares the importance of finding the key decision makers within the hospital networks and also how they are politely persistent in getting past gatekeepers to reach those decision makers.
As an entrepreneur, he has learned how it is too easy to bite off more than you can chew early on. Instead, he works to stay focused in spaces where they can best grow. He also recognizes that as a recent startup, it is important to have team members who are flexible and excited about building something new.
