RadioStPete.com news director and host Nanette Wiser chatted with the multi-talented June Bunch about her upcoming concerts, events, her Monday 4-5pm radio show on RadioStPete.com, her botanical art and her work at the Morean Art Center. Sat, October 5, 12pm – 3pm New World Music Hall - Pop Up Music Co-op Showcase --June founded this project. The mission of this free project is to create a collective of musical collaborators. Participants share their contact and instruments, then get connected with quarterly projects. At the end, each project participates in the showcase.

MUSIC BIO: With a full-tank of vocal octaves, June Bunch began her songwriting career as a street performer in Asheville, NC. The self-taught musician sang her original songs between folky covers and gained traction as a local artist. Her spritely presence enticed crowd chemistry and carved long-lasting connections with listeners along the way. This eventually evolved into collaborations with multiple musicians as well. June established a songwriting circle and hosted multiple "Writers in the Round" to showcase the community's original talents. During quarantine, her first E.P. "Not Much and Then Some" was released, revealing a low-fi window into her home studio. The alternative folk player can be found belting ukulele tunes throughout her many home towns.

ART BIO: One Fruit Forward was established in 2020 in St. Petersburg, FL.June Bunch began drawing botanical images for Sow Exotic, a Florida plant nursery, in 2020. Later, after moving to Juneau, AK, she become a naturalist guide, inspired to debut a series of botanical ballerinas, au naturale.June studied plants' "choreography" of growth and illuminated their dance with vibrant colors and clean lines. Her visual art remains rooted in botany and ballet, featuring postures pausing movement and holding emotional richness, each highlighting feminine nature and flora in a bold, empowering way. The 2024 series of birth month flowers unveils a new design every month and will become a 12-piece set in 2025. June's designs are drawn with great care and printed with high-quality inks on museum-grade, acid-free matte paper. Stickers are top-grade waterproof vinyl and work perfectly for water bottles and other solid surfaces. Her work has won an honorable mention at the Morean Arts Center gallery and has been featured in the press on Creative Pinellas, Tampa's Artist Incubator, Radio St.Pete, Fox News and more.You can find her work across the country at Kindred Post in Juneau, AK, Moab Made in Moab, UT, and the Merchant in St. Pete, FL.
