Heroku is a cloud platform-as-a-service that enables developers to build, deploy, and manage applications. It was founded in 2007 and was acquired by Salesforce in 2010. Vish Abrams is the Chief Architect at Heroku and previously worked at Oracle and NASA, among other organizations.
