Claudia De Pasquale is the founder and voice behind My Cancer Diaries, a blog that supports and empowers newly diagnosed women—especially those balancing cancer with the demands of parenting young children. As a breast cancer survivor turned thriver and mother of three, she brings a personal touch to her work, sharing valuable resources and emotional support grounded in her own experience. With a background in healthcare marketing and sales, Claudia leverages her skills to expand her blog’s reach and impact. Her journey through cancer highlighted the importance of whole-person healing—addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Her blog reflects this holistic approach, offering practical advice on treatment, self-care, and finding balance as a parent. Dedicated to helping others, Claudia creates a supportive space where women can find hope, connection, and actionable insights to thrive through and beyond their cancer journeys.

Claudia's Notes from the Sidelines:

  1. Medicine is not black and white; different opinions will lead to different suggestions.
  2. You might be surprised to find that you will not get all the medical answers from doctors, but actually a lot will come from other survivors.
  3. One out of three breast cancer cases will experience recurrence, so...
  4. Do your own research, find survivors, listen to podcasts, and do everything you can to avoid having the disease return.
  5. Menopause came along with breast cancer, and menopause is a topic not openly discussed outside the breast cancer community.
  6. Community is so important for those going through the breast cancer journey. It's okay to reach out to others. People want to help, but they often don't know how to help.
  7. Self-care must be a priority, because if mom isn't healthy, then she can't take care of her kids. And if you aren't a mom, then take care of yourself so you can take care of the things and people in your life that matter to you.
  8. It's okay to not be busy, to say no, to put yourself first, to relax, and to let it be.
