We spent the last week channelling our inner bargain hunters, visiting flea markets and skulking around charity shops. The objective - to try and determine if one man’s trash truly is another man’s treasure.
On the hunt for some homeware, clothes and potentially Christmas gifts, we were curious. Would this convert us from full-time first-hand shoppers to second-hand fanatics? And amongst all the inevitable piles of sh*te being sold (not literally; reign in that naivety) how easy would it be to find what we were looking for?
You’re sure to get stuff cheap. There’s an immediate win. But is it enough to overlook the potential frustrations or disappointments as your patience runs thin?
