Barbara Dobbyn is the owner of Barbara Anne Photography in Nanaimo, located on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. She has been studying portrait photography since 2010 and gave up her corporate career in 2020 to pursue her passion for the transformative nature of portrait photography full-time. She firmly believes in lifelong learning to Master her craft and has been a student of The Portrait Masters since 2017 attaining the coveted status of Accredited Associate Photographer last year. The root of her personal philosophy is the deep belief that portraits are not a one size fits all process. Each person who honors her by stepping in front of her lens deserves to exist in portraits that tell their own unique stories. In May 2023 she was awarded the Nanaimo Best Business Award for Creative Services, recognizing her commitment to excellence in business development and her passion for client service excellence.
