No Cows Needed for This Butter
Mmm … Toast and butter, yum! Most butter is made from cow's milk. But a company has a new way to make butter.
烤土司加奶油真好吃! 大多數的奶油是用牛奶做的，現在有一間公司有新的方式做奶油。
It uses carbon dioxide and other gases that come from the air. It heats the gases. That makes the fat for the butter. No cows are needed!
這間公司加熱空氣中的二氧化碳跟其他氣體，做出奶油中的脂肪，完全不需要乳牛。
But why are they making butter this way? Well, cows create a lot of pollution. They belch methane. Methane is a bad gas. It makes the Earth warmer. Cows also need lots of land to live on and water to drink. Using cow's milk for butter is bad for the Earth.
為什麼要這麼做呢?因為牛會排出甲烷 ，讓地球暖化。養牛也需要很多的土地跟水。用牛奶做奶油並不環保。
The company says its butter is a much better butter for the Earth. It doesn't make bad gases. It doesn't need land. It uses very little water.

This new butter tastes like… butter! But is it safe to eat? The butter is being checked now. If it's safe, the company can start selling it in 2025.
