That was the subject of Holiday Phillips talk at this weeks TEDxDalt Vila.
Arm chair activism is one thing when you sign endless petitions from the comfort of being behind a screen, what does it mean to meet that pain, the discomfort and those feelings full force and process them before weaving them into a narrative that perhaps creates a while new discourse for action?
Holiday Phillips is a not just a speaker, but also a writer, organisation and community advisor - as well as an activist and Her work centres on moving from oppression to liberation and disconnection to love.
We have had so much in the way of disconnect the last years so to hear the talk of Holiday Phillips today feels timely, but also poignant in a moment where there is so much pain and a very real need for new ideas.
Today we speak about the death of her sister and what that really meant for her before she moved to the island as well address the elephant in the room over the lack of racial diversity that ibiza has in all areas
And why that could be.
Plus we have a chat about Megxit - and how Holiday felt about the way Meghan was treated by the Royals and the UK Press.
