About Us: Business owners, Chamber directors, industry leaders, Main Street Directors, school and hospital leaders discuss what's happening in North MS with station owner, Melinda Marsalis. Interviews are recorded in Ripley, MS at Sun Bear Studio, broadcast every Tuesday at 11 am on The Shark 102.3 FM Radio and added here to help you stay informed. Chris and Melinda have a passion for community development and love all of the amazing things that are going on in North Mississippi.

This Week: This week, Melinda talks with Kelli Hefner, Executive Director of the United Way of Corinth and Alcorn County. Melinda and Kelli discuss the 13 agencies that partner with the United Way of Corinth and Alcorn County to fill the needs of the community. Those who are in need of help should call 662-286-8662 and take advantage of the First Call for Help program. In this program, those in need are directed immediately to the agency that can help them best.

To support many of the programs, funds are always needed. Donations received are allocated to the various agencies to fund their community programs. Another source of revenue will be the Pledge Drive of 2024. This is an easy way for many people to commit to a larger donation while only paying a small amount each month.

Those who may want to donate should go to "www.unitedwaycorinthalcornms.org" and click the Donate button. Donations may be made by credit card, through PayPal, or by mailing a check to P.O. Box 1104, Corinth, MS 38835. Donations may also be tagged and designated for a specific agency.
