Yesterday… Today… Tomorrow…

Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons every week day! This is message #182 and I am Aaron Havens.

Today is a big day in America. Election Day.
A day every America gets a say in the direction of tomorrow.
On the ballots are national and location offices and topics that are highly debatable and often times cause deeper conversations and processing to be had. And personally, this has been great. The final votes are made on the individual level. No two people are identical. We all go into the voting booth with

YESTERDAY (our lived experiences)

TODAY (where we find ourselves today)

TOMORROW (where we hope we will be!)

Where you stand on what topic is up to you. I just hope we have all done the deep work internally to be proud in the votes we cast. And, being a very optimistic person this quote from former 32nd president Franklin D Roosevelt rings true to me today. He said “The only limit to our realization of tomorrow is our doubts of today.”

If we don’t believe in a stronger tomorrow… that will probably be our experience. If we don’t believe in what our company is doing, how positive do you think our tomorrow will be? If we doubt today, tomorrow will probably play out that way. Yesterday, today, tomorrow… are you the type of person that can find hope, have a dream, and strive for a better tomorrow? I mean, tomorrow is coming either way! Have we done all we can do today to be centered and contribute to our closest people, our near neighbors, our dear friends, our community, our country and our world? Yeah, that makes for a better tomorrow!

So today. Before the ballots are counted. Would you take a few minutes to count your blessings. To be thankful. To dream of a bright tomorrow. And if the decisions made today don’t go your way… how can you wake up, consider what can be considered and pivot down the road to a better tomorrow? That’s who I want to do live with. Passionate people that don’t give up along the way. Tomorrow is bright my friends. Let’s do all we can do today!
