In times of crisis, it’s so easy to feel overwhelmed and surrounded by fear. Music is a tool to help us face that fear.
My Memorial Day weekend podcast is always my favorite of the year — there’s something about that feeling of an endless summer just on the horizon that fills me with hope. Of course, this year is different. I’m sad not to be surrounded by LGBTQ revelers in Pensacola, Florida; it’s my favorite place to be over this holiday weekend and it’s where I was scheduled to DJ again this year. Instead, I hope to see many of you there again in 2021.
In the meantime, please enjoy my latest. It’s a long one — in fact, it’s my longest podcast yet — I typically try to keep 'em under 90 minutes, but this time I just couldn’t; there was too much music I wanted to include. And moreover, this one was a journey; an emotional outpouring of uplifting energy. You may sense a theme if you go along for the whole ride. It also includes my new 25th-anniversary remix with Stephen Jusko of Alanis Morissette’s iconic anthem, “You Oughta Know.”
