For those who have experienced trauma in whatever form, the journey to moving on is always a struggle. However, in the natural course of our lives, every time we close a chapter, it also yearns for a form of closure. While our consciousness can only process so much, it's hidden part will always be waiting to be recognized.

In this episode of Dance to Heal, Jenny welcomes Diana Soto on a thoughtful discussion about how our body stores and remembers everything we have gone through, and how movement helps in moving through grief and on to the next chapter.

What to expect in this episode:
01:05 – Jenny's journey prior to cancer

04:00 – On relationship with movement as we heal.

05:11 – On doing what you were destined to do.

06:36 – Diana's Performance Video

08:36 – How cancer led to Diana's artist career.

10:29 – On integrating your trauma.

12:57 – On healing from dancing.

16:00 – On grieving closing chapters

18:08 – On Diana's social media presence

21:15 – Finding the magic inside of you.

26:00 – What do you do when you need healing? About Diana Soto:
For over 15 years Diana has danced professionally around the globe in USA, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Puerto Rico. Having a multidisciplinary background and an unending thirst for all things dance, she has performed in belly dance companies as well as flamenco and modern dance companies. She believes that the best innovation is rooted in tradition, thus she has travelled to Egypt, Turkey, Spain and lived for a while in Beirut to study in depth the roots of the dances she is interested in, and from that knowledge, create pieces that innovate and fuse while ringing true and authentic.
