As an American ex-pat, who has to pay bills here in Germany and in America, but usually gets paid in dollars that causes a lot of stress if you don't know what to do. Most companies like Western Union, MoneyGram, will send your money for you but for a very large fee. If I send a hundred dollars from my US bank account to my Euro bank account in Wise, I only pay about $1.50 in fees, $1 and 50 cents.

That allows me to keep more of the money for my small business and keep rocking on.

So if you're interested in working with multinational companies or you're an expat abroad like me, or even after Corona, if you decide to be a digital nomad, this is the thing for you. They even have a debit card that allows you to use your money in any of those accounts that will take it out automatically without having to worry about the conversion fee.
