Welcome to The Fitness News hosted by Bill & Tom of Chat Sh*t Get Fit

HIIT or high intensity interval training has grown in popularity over the last decade or so and with that there have been numerous claims made by scientific literature and the media alike. Now, a team of researchers are on a 'crusade' splitting their research into 6 parts to tackle the topic of HIIT vs more steady/moderate bouts of cardio.

They are NOT anti HIIT by any means but are simply trying to bring it back down to earth by systematically going through claims and provoking thought. We look at their research and dive into our own thoughts and essentially the key take home message is it's not an either or and 'it depends'.
