Ep 1: Give Yourself Permission

In this first episode of The Glow Up Season Podcast, we’re going to explore the concept of giving yourself permission, which is a tool that has allowed me to step into my power and progress into the woman I want to be.
There has been immense conditioning in us as women, even as kids, throughout the past few centuries that has made us rely on acquiring permission from someone else to do certain things. We have also developed an hypervigilance that makes us scared of doing the wrong thing and not trusting our own authority. Well, it’s time to reclaim your authority and your confidence in your decisions! Get out of your own way! It’s time to step into your power, get growin’, and get glowin’!
Listen in as I dive deep into the revolutionary practice of giving yourself permission and the psychology behind it, along with very a personal story that you may be able to relate to. I touch on how we can apply this simple tool to grow and succeed in the different areas of life, like relationships, spirituality, career, mental health, physical health, finances, etc.
How do we know what we need to give ourselves permission for? I then break down the signs to look for so you can recognize when and where you’re holding yourself back in life, such as denying your emotions, not letting yourself celebrate your accomplishments, or not letting yourself take time for rest and self-care.

Does that resonate at all? Feeling multiple different emotions at once, like feeling happiness during a time of grief or healing from a loss, is healthy and shouldn’t be suppressed.
