Chris Minns silent on MPs caught up in “greenwashing scandal”

It was revealed this week that state Labor MP’s Karen Mckeown and Nathan Haggarty were on the board of Active Super, which was found by the Federal Court to have engaged in a phenomenon known as “Greenwashing”.

The court said the Superfund had misled and deceived investors by claiming it had eliminated its members’ exposure to gambling, coal and Russian companies, when it in fact, had multiple investments in these industries.

As directors, Mckeown and Haggarty were pocketing $200 thousand a year, on top of their already lucrative parliamentary salaries.

It has since been revealed that Karen Mckgeown voted in favour of a rezoning proposal within the funds investment portfolio while she was Penrith Mayor.

Liberal Member for Vaucluse and Shadow Environment, Kellie Sloane, joins Luke Grant to chat about the potential conflicts of interest that can occur from MP’s having multiple jobs and Premier Chris Minns failure to properly sanction the MP’s.
