Kathleen Layer is an intuitive eating and body image coach, yoga teacher, lover of fresh-baked anything, and a firm believer that diet culture sucks. Like, could she belong any more in The Babesment??
She talks about her relationship with her body – how, early on, she learned to equate her value and worth with her size – and the trauma that comes with your body changing so much after puberty. She also dives into how she got sucked into diet culture, the trap of swinging between hardcore diets and the “fuck it” phases, and the relief that came from finally discovering and implementing intuitive eating. While intuitive eating can be easy once you get there, the journey to it can be really hard.
