Viktor E. Frankl was born in Vienna in 1905 and published more than 30 books on theoretical and clinical psychology that gained international success. "Man's Search for Meaning" is one of his greatest books that he wrote about his own experience surviving the Nazi death camps and its lessons for spiritual survival.

• You cannot control what happens to you in life, but you can always control what you feel and do about what happens to you
• Most men in concentration camp believed that the real opportunities of life had passed. Yet, in reality, there was an opportunity and a challenge.
• "Inner strength by point out a future goal to which he could look forward. It is a peculiarity of man that he can only live by looking to the future."
• Health, family, happiness, professional abilities, fortune, position in society-- all these things that could be achieved again or restored.

  - What man actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for a worthwhile goal
