Welcome to the first episode of season three of Worlds Collide! Host Viktoria returns after a long break to bring you fresh stories of people who have moved abroad. This episode features Ally, who recently relocated from London to the Seattle area in Washington State, USA. Ally shares her experiences of settling in a new country, bringing over her business, and navigating the complexities of American life with a toddler in tow.

The conversation covers Ally's initial months in the US, how her family received a greencard, from learning the banking system to understanding the school system and dealing with the challenges of moving countries with a young child. Ally also talks about her business as a voice actor, the hurdles of transferring it to the US, and the early morning recording sessions to accommodate her European clients.

Listeners will gain insights into the emotional journey of moving abroad, including the stages of adjustment, the importance of building a community, and the cultural differences between the UK and the US. Ally opens up about the anxiety she faced initially and how finding a supportive network of friends has made all the difference in her new life.

Ally also touches on the more light-hearted aspects of her move, such as her thoughts on American chocolate and her family's adventures exploring the beautiful state of Washington. She shares the joys of discovering new places and the comfort of finding a community that understands the immigrant experience.
