Heute gibt eine Sonder Edition von Welthungerhilfe Direkt: wir tauchen ein in die Lebenswelt unsere Kolleg*innen aus dem Südsudan und lassen sie erzählen. Und dafür sende wir auch zum ersten Mal komplett auf Englisch.

Fünf Mitarbeitende aus Bentiu, ein Geflüchteten Camp im Norden des Landes, erzählen Ihre Geschichten. Sie helfen den Betroffenen einer der schwersten humanitären Krisen unserer Zeit und sind gleichzeitig selbst von dieser betroffen. Nahrungsunsicherheit, gewaltvolle Konflikte und Vertreibung zeichnen das Leben der Menschen im jüngsten Staat der Welt - so auch das unser Kolleg*innen.

Die Folge erscheint am 9. Juli – passend zum Unabhängigkeitstag Südsudans.

Today we have a special edition of Welthungerhilfe Direkt: we dive into the lives of our colleagues from South Sudan and let them tell their stories. And for the first time we are broadcasting completely in English.

Five employees from Bentiu, a refugee camp in the north of the country, tell their stories. They are helping those affected by one of the most serious humanitarian crises of our time, and at the same time they are affected by it themselves. Food insecurity, violent conflicts and displacement characterize the lives of the people in the world's youngest state - as well as those of our colleagues.

This episode is published on July 9 - to coincide with South Sudan's Independence Day.
