I posted on IG a quote and an image that says: What you're seeking is already who you are. You only need allow it to guide you. The key to knowing this Self, is Self-awareness.

I discuss how to know the voice for LOVE vs. the voice of the EGO.

Here's how you distinguish them:

Distinguishing between the voice of the ego and the voice of love involves recognizing the underlying qualities and intentions of each:

Tone and Quality: The ego's voice often manifests as critical, fearful, or judgmental. It tends to be louder, more insistent, or anxious. In contrast, the voice of love is compassionate, understanding, and peaceful. It's usually gentle, reassuring, and nurturing.

Focus: Ego-driven thoughts are typically self-centered, focusing on winning, being right, or asserting dominance. They often involve comparison, competition, or a sense of lack. On the other hand, the voice of love emphasizes connection, unity, and empathy. It's inclusive and considers the well-being of both self and others.

Time Orientation: The ego is often preoccupied with past grievances or future worries. It might dwell on past mistakes or fret about what might happen. The voice of love, however, tends to bring your attention to the present, encouraging mindfulness and appreciation of the now.

Feelings Evoked: Ego can evoke feelings of anxiety, envy, anger, or inadequacy. It often leads to a sense of unrest or dissatisfaction. In contrast, the voice of love brings a sense of calm, acceptance, and contentment. It promotes feelings of gratitude and joy.

Outcome: The ego seeks immediate gratification and often prompts reactive, short-term solutions. Decisions based on ego might bring quick results but not long-lasting satisfaction or harmony. Decisions influenced by the voice of love are usually more thoughtful, considerate, and lead to long-term well-being and fulfillment.

Body Sensations: Tuning into your body can provide clues. Ego-driven thoughts might create tension, a feeling of heaviness, or discomfort in the body. In contrast, love-based thoughts often align with a sense of lightness, ease, or warmth in the body.

Then, I go into some powerful self-questions to ask yourself when you are in the space of self-awareness:

What Would I Choose if I Knew I Couldn't Fail? This question encourages you to step away from fear-based thinking, typical of the ego, and into a space of pure potential and love. It invites you to consider possibilities from a place of love, support, and infinite capability.

How Would I Respond to a Loved One in This Situation? Often, the ego is self-critical while love is nurturing and understanding. By imagining how you'd advise or comfort a loved one in a similar situation, you can tap into a more compassionate, empathetic perspective.

What Am I Grateful for in This Moment? Gratitude is a powerful expression of love that shifts focus away from the ego's preoccupations with lack or dissatisfaction. This question helps anchor you in the present and opens your heart to love's abundance and positivity.

What Feelings Arise When I Think About Letting Go of This Belief or Action? The ego often clings to beliefs and actions out of fear, while love releases them with ease. Reflecting on the emotional impact of letting go can highlight whether you're operating from ego or love.

In What Ways Am I Similar to the Person I'm in Conflict With? This question is aimed at cultivating empathy and understanding, qualities of love. Recognizing shared human experiences or emotions can diminish the ego's 'us versus them' mentality and foster a more loving, unified approach.

I also talk about narcissists and gaslighting and how to know that too. As always, you can follow me here or on IG @vibologie and my website is vibologie.com to come to any experiences.

In love and resonance! Joya
