As South Africa wraps up women's month, some female traditional leaders in the Vhembe district, in Limpopo, have expressed confidence that positive strides have been made in recognizing the role of women in customary structures, thirty years into democracy. Vha-Musanda vho-Bohwana of Tshaulu village and vha-Musanda vho-Ligege of Duthuni village have been on their respective thrones for several decades.
