When a young Eva Kollisch arrives as a refugee in New York in 1940, she finds a community among socialists who share her values and idealism. She soon discovers ‘the cause’ isn’t as idyllic as it seems. Little does she know this is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to activism and her determination to create radical change in ways that include belonging, love and one's full self. In addition to Eva Kollisch’s memoirs Girl in Movement (2000) and The Ground Under My Feet (2014), LBI’s collections include an oral history interview with Eva conducted in 2014 and the papers of Eva’s mother, poet Margarete Kolllisch, which document Eva’s childhood experience on the Kindertransport. Learn more at www.lbi.org/kollisch . Exile is a production of the Leo Baeck Institute , New York | Berlin and Antica Productions . It’s narrated by Mandy Patinkin. Executive Producers include Katrina Onstad, Stuart Coxe, and Bernie Blum. Senior Producer is Debbie Pacheco. Associate Producers are Hailey Choi and Emily Morantz. Research and translation by Isabella Kempf. Sound design and audio mix by Philip Wilson, with help from Cameron McIver. Theme music by Oliver Wickham. Voice acting by Natalia Bushnik. Special thanks to the Kollisch family for the use of Eva’s two memoirs, “Girl in Movement” and “The Ground Under My Feet”, the Sophia Smith Collection at Smith College and their “Voices of Feminism Oral History Project”, and Soundtrack New York.…

×If you haven't heard of the Nazca lines or the Nazca mummy (mummies), get ready to go down the Google hole of your lifetime. Alien spacecraft runways, carved into a sheered off mountaintop with an electric zig zagging grid with 6 alien mummies casually found in a cave up there? Researchers are examining the skeleton, DNA, skin... everything, and Gaia is going to release the results of all their meticulous testing in the coming months once researchers have completed. Is it a human, or a humanoid from another planet? I've been a believer for as long as I can remember so yes - I want to believe. Conspiracies are no longer theories once they are proven...…
While doing some research for the Tuesday Snacks brand, I stumbled upon an interesting tid-bit deep in the files of the USDA website. This episode is dedicated to the lady shopping at Aldi's back home, overheard by my mother saying to her husband that she "Don't want no organic!" Hey, you learn something new everyday! Happy Tuesday everyone - and make sure you know where your dinner comes from! In this throwback episode, we honor a member of the TS family that made it big! Tiffany Haddish found her way to the snack station via The Comedy Store and our beloved ex-host Sara Weinshenk - now you know her as the star of Girls Trip! In this uncanny interview - which begins with Tiffany choking on a rip - we attempt to uncover what makes Haddish, Haddish. An impromptu beat by Eiffel Gray serves as the perfect platform for a one of a kind freestyle like you've never heard!…
Not only do Ph8 founders Kevin and Mike have one of the coolest, and realest, foundations I've ran across... but these guys are all about opening your mind. From their mission of providing clean water to others, to their means of generating funds - music, yoga and art festivals - the new face of activism has arrived. Warning: If you have an idea that may change the world, listening to these two will motivate you to go out and make it happen. Without giving too much away, as the title suggests, this episode also includes one hell of a TRIP REPORT and some insight into one of our favorite subjects - micro-dosing! Share your snacks - happy Tuesday!…
What if you were taking 17 pills a day, and given only 8 years to live? Would you look into alternative medicine, and try switching to organic food? Also... what would you do if you were transgender and serving for our military? What should we do to combat this hatred here in American soil? That and more in this heart felt episode of Tuesday Snacks. Happy Tuesday!…
Google put a base on Mars, and they left it there. Why would Google photoshop a Mars base for April Fool's Day? People are actively looking for such things, and we have reason to believe that it is a possibility. Making the Moon look like cheese, now only a kid who still believes in Santa Clause would fall for that. Adding a detailed base, complete with a pickup truck and Earthly buildings, onto a specific point and leaving it there sounds exactly like the type of soft, or partial disclosure that people like David Wilcock and Corey Goode discuss on "Cosmic Disclosure." Do you think the Google prank is a sliver of partial disclosure? Opening people up to the possibilities? What is the purpose of this ongoing prank?…
