Then in 2015, Ueli solidified his name in the history books by establishing a new record for soloing the North Face of the Eiger in 2 hours, 22 minutes and 50 seconds. NOTE: Sadly, Ueli Steck died in a mountaineering accident while acclimatising for an attempt to climb Everest and Mount Nuptse, back to back, without oxygen.
