This is a special two-part episode!

In part one (this part) we talk through fascinating topics such as Systems Engineering, Bionic Eyes and Teaching.

Part two explores really important, and often stigmatised issues, such as depression, male infertility and suicidal ideation. This is for you even if you’ve never suffered with these things because the things you learn here could save someone’s life.

Thank you for listening!

Dr Craig Savage is an Analytics Integrator, Instructor at Kaplan Business School, as well as serving as a Board Member and Community Organiser for Ultimate Australia.

Originally from the US, Craig fell into Systems Engineering where he seized the opportunity to be paid whilst studying for his doctorate in Electrical Engineering in Melbourne, Australia. After being forced back to the US through no fault of his own, he taught at community college and then made a second leap into the outback. Back in Melbourne, he worked on bionic eye technology before shifting into finance and data analytics.

Craig is far more than just an impressive CV though - his journey through depression and other crippling life setbacks is moving, inspiring and instructional. I hope you get as much value from our conversation as I did!
