“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” –Martin Luther King
In our next podcast, I have two world-renowned speakers whose life purpose is to bring resilience and mental clarity to people who are in crisis, challenges, and extreme circumstances by teaching them the Principles of the Mind and how understanding these Principles leads to being resilient.
Amy Johnson, Ph.D. is a psychologist, coach, author, and speaker who shares a groundbreaking new approach that helps people find lasting freedom from unwanted habits, anxiety, and self-doubt via insight rather than willpower.
She is the author of Being Human, The Little Book of Big Change: The No-Willpower Approach to Breaking Any Habit, and Just a Thought: A No-Willpower Approach to End Self-Doubt and Make Peace with your Mind. In 2017 she opened The Little School of Big Change, an online school that has helped thousands of people find freedom from anxiety and habits and live a more peaceful life.
Amy also shares the no-willpower approach in her top-rated podcast, Changeable, and she’s trained over 70 coaches in her Change Coach Training Program. She has been a regularly featured expert on The Steve Harvey Show and Oprah.com, as well as in The Wall Street Journal and Self magazine.

Mahima Shrestha –
Nepal. With a background in media and crisis communications, Mahima is interested in bringing people together to find solutions to complex problems and facilitating long-term change in culture and communities. Over the years she has worked with government, multilateral, private, and non-profit organizations in a wide range of sectors including aviation, hydropower, tourism, investment climate reform, automobiles, finance, education, telecommunications, and healthcare.
Mahima works with entrepreneurs, senior leaders in business and nonprofits as well as young people with the desire and potential to be changemakers within their families, communities, organizations, and countries.
Her signature program is TRAILBLAZERS, a year-long program of training and coaching for Change Agents.

How is it that adversity quite often is the impetus for transformation and the awakening of our innate resilience? For most of us, our innate true self is covered from view until we are challenged by a life crisis. In order to cope, we must rise to the occasion and in so doing, we discover our inner strength. How is it that that resilience, our birthright remains hidden until something or someone “wakes us up”?
In today’s world of uncertainty—the challenges of pandemics, financial and economic uncertainty, climate change and disasters, divisive politics, and the breakdown of our institutions –- we can’t predict the future with any confidence or control the demands on our time and energy. Our internal resilience is the key to not only dealing with the increased pressure but also to thinking insightfully and responsively to any challenge. A clear head and a calm mind make us more intelligent, creative, and productive. We think smarter, not harder.
