"Bacteria have there own language" The talk with Fatima AlZahra'a Alatraktchi, PhD
Manage episode 403003502 series 3193472
How quickly can the modern medicine detect bacteria? Why is the communication between bacterial colonies so important to understand?
Fatima approached a bio-chemical phenomenon in her own way, her background as a physicist, her drive and perseverance made her discoveries worthwhile. She developed a sensor that makes it possible to detect bacteria in any sample within 60 seconds, even in early stages, where other more commonly known methods would not show the results. This is a ground breaking thing for patients, who depend on the early recognition of infections, since their immune systems might be deficient. Find out more about her journey in the interview.
Guest: Fatima AlZahra'a Alatraktchi, PhD in Molecular biology, Founder of PreDiagnose, Assistant Professor at Roskilde University
