A trigger, in a psychological or emotional context, refers to a stimulus or event that prompts a strong and often automatic emotional or behavioral response in an individual. These responses can be positive or negative and may be linked to past experiences, memories, or conditioned associations. Triggers can vary widely from person to person and can manifest in different ways.
