In this episode of The Stick Figure Purpose Podcast, I’m joined by Chris Renshaw, Interim Fire Chief for the University of Connecticut (UConn) Fire Department. In addition to his role as Interim Fire Chief, Chris is also a seasoned wildland firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service, bringing over 26 years of experience to the table, as well as being a dedicated researcher. In this conversation, we explore the issue of complacency within the fire service, focusing on low-frequency, high-risk events. Chris and I dive into the recent wildfires that impacted Connecticut, and the research he’s conducted on wildfire risk.
