3:05pm- On Thursday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump held a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. During his address, and subsequent Q&A with the media, Trump emphasized the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz campaign’s past endorsement of far-left policies—like a mandatory gun buyback initiated via executive authority, raising the eligibility age for Social Security benefits, and relaxed security at the U.S. Southern border. Trump also teased an upcoming interview he plans to do with Elon Musk early next week and revealed that he has agreed to three presidential debates with Harris in September on Fox News, ABC, and NBC.

3:15pm- In a recently unearthed clip, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz states: “We can make sure those weapons of war, that I carried in war, is the only place where those weapons are out.” Despite the statement, Walz has never seen combat—retiring from the National Guard before he would have deployed to Iraq.

3:20pm- JD Vance Accuses Tim Walz of Lying About Military Service: Caitlin Doornbos and Josh Christenson of The New York Post write, “veterans have accused Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz of ‘embellishing’ his military career and abandoning his National Guard battalion, highlighting that the now-vice presidential pick for the Democrats never served in combat and retired from service ahead of his unit’s 2005 deployment to Iraq. 3:40pm- During his Thursday press conference from Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump said “we have a lot of bad things coming up—you could end up in a depression of the 1929 variety which would be devasting…and we’re very close to a world war.” He also emphasized that despite the narrative from the mainstream media, the energy and enthusiasm remain with his campaign. He noted that 107,000 people showed up to his rally in New Jersey—meanwhile, the media gushes when Kamala Harris is able to attract a few thousand people to her rallies.

3:45pm- While speaking on Thursday, Donald Trump said “the presidency was taken away from [Joe] Biden” by the Democratic Party elites.

4:05pm- During his Thursday press conference from Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump was asked about Kamala Harris’s alleged romantic relationship with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown—who is over 30-years older than her. Trump also addressed President Joe Biden’s claim that if Trump wins the presidential election, there may not be a peaceful transfer of power. Trump insisted there will be, adding: “and there was last time.”

5:05pm- NBC News Washington Correspondent Yamiche Aclindor reports that the Harris-Walz campaign is “not engaging on whether or not [Tim Walz] was falsifying his military record.”
