Removing the Pressure to “Soak It All Up” in Motherhood

In this episode I want to talk about the intense pressure that we feel as moms to soak up every minute or not miss a minute, like we need to be present 110% of the day. While I think this is beautiful because we know that these early years really are fleeting and they go so fast… Having this really unrealistic expectation of ourselves to soak it all up and not miss a minute, is actually really harming us in motherhood. It puts so much pressure on ourselves to be present for every moment, to enjoy every moment and what can actually end up happening is we end up burnt out, which leads to the opposite of our intentions – we're not enjoying every moment and we're not as present as we’d like to be.
