Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. The list of releases coming out on Record Store Day 2024 (April 20) is expansive, so we're taking on different aspects of the list every week. This week we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome Posdnuos (Plug 1) and Maseo (Plug 3) from the legendary De La Soul to talk about their fallen brother Dave "Trugoy the Dove" Jolicoeur (Plug 2), and their landmark albums including 3 Feet High And Rising and Stakes Is High, plus their RSD 2024 release, De La Soul Live At Tramps NYC 1996.
Plus we cover a few of the other Hip Hop titles on the list with Phillip Rollins (aka DJ Young Venom at OffBeat Records in Jackson, Mississippi.
