Shaka Hislop is a former Premier League and International player but definitely not your typical footballer. Shaka graduated from Howard University in the US in mechanical engineering and immediately interned at NASA studying with and learning from some of the brightest minds on the planet.

Shaka played for Newcastle Utd, West Ham and Portsmouth under the likes Kevin Keegan and Harry Redknapp as well as alongside some of the most iconic names in English football history; Alan Shearer, Peter Beardsley, Les Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole and Rio Ferdinand.

His ability to outsmart his opponents brought him and his teammates to the brink of 2 Premier League titles with Newcastle Utd in the 1990s and at West Ham only Steven Gerrard’s iconic equalising goal from 35 yards in injury time stopped West Ham from winning the FA Cup in 2006.

Shaka proudly represented his country Trinidad & Tobago in their famous debut at the World Cup in that same year, which rounded off an incredible footballing career. As the honorary president and Founder of ‘Show Racism the Red Card’, he has been involved in the vital anti-racism education of nearly 1 Million school children and currently works for ESPN in America on their coverage of English football.
