At the end of this month, The Canterbury Mountain Radio Service will be closing down after 55 years. This is a massive end of an era.
Stewart Burnby from Te Anau has been involved in search and rescue and Caterbury Mountain Radio for over 30 years and will be doing one of the last weather broadcasts in the morning on the 30th June. We chat about his history in the area, the importance of the service and how it's all going to work from now on.
