E348 - Gamifying businesses through expertise in helping visionaries turn their jobs into enterprises | with Kyle Livingston
Manage episode 367170142 series 3327215
From being left at a yard sale as a 12-week-old baby to losing $160k of his own money in a failed company, Kyle Livingston knows what failure feels like, tastes like, and smells like. But he did not let his circumstances determine his altitude or success in life. From the lessons he learned, Kyle has since built three 7 figure brick and mortar companies and helped turn nine companies in the red to be wildly profitable. President and Founder of 7 Figure Industry Inc., a complete-turn key consultancy that partners with visionary Entrepreneurs to get them the grip they have been looking for. Now, as a Business Consultant and Coach, his goal is to help others turn chaos into profit.
Kyle lives outside of Nashville, Tennessee and his expertise is really gamifying businesses and going into specifically online companies, finding hidden cash and little pockets of money that he can pull out for the owner, and then focusing on getting the owner out of the day-to-day operations of the business so they can focus on the freedom that they want because of the reason that they started their business, but actually turned it into a job. Kyle and his team are great at helping visionaries take the job that they've built for themselves and turn it into an enterprise.
A lot of what Kyle is doing is delegation, but there's also big mindset stuff that needs to happen. It’s one of the hardest parts of working with visionaries and CEOs. He will have conversations with them and typically start with figuring out what the business owner is really good at that's unique to the owner or the visionary. The things that only they can do, which is typically three to five things, and giving it a title. He would then have them spend a bit of time watching themselves in the 9-12 hours a day through a time study, writing down all of the things that they do. At the end of the week, he would have them highlight every single thing that did not fit their core and that's the first step for them to open their eyes. Realize that they are spending a lot of time doing things that they shouldn't be doing and spend more time doing the things that they should be doing.
The client would typically have a really hard time moving out of the “technician role” to the “producer role”. You need someone who can come in and lead a team, especially when things start to get hectic and stressful. They want the “unicorn” to do 30 things and they only getting seven done. The visionary and integrator tend to fall back into those patterns, this is where Kyle and his team have to place a monetary goal for them to delegate, or they're not going to be able to grow.
The one big tip Kyle would give clients is how they can create leverage. If you get a big enough lever, you can move the world. Freedom of time or financially, one of the two or both, and the only way that you're ever going to accomplish it are through creating leverage. This is found through masterminds, coaches, consultants, and their systematic lever. Where you can build out systems that do things for you. Typically it's through testing, data, trial, and error, or divisionary. It also has to do a lot with their mindset of actually wanting freedom or a job, because you can't have both.
