These dispensations of God, short of regenerating grace, do lay up matter for a great honour unto the man Christ Jesus, as he is to be the judge of all the world, and to give the exact account of every man's condition and ways and heart, and to judge of them accordingly. One would think that such a work of the Spirit as hath so great a likeness, and that with a reality joined with it, in the hearts and spirits of men, should make a great puzzle and blind at the fatter day, how clearly to distinguish and discover to the men themselves, and all the world, that such professors as these were never truly regenerate, but this will turn to the greater glory to Christ-
