Kerri Bond: Going through the darkness
Manage episode 304925130 series 2996161
I loved my conversation with Kerri Bond. We are primarily social media friends but have a lot of IRL friends in common. Plus we have both worked with The Motherhood Collective, an amazing community organization in Lynchburg VA.
Kerri has a unique beginning to her motherhood story and our conversation morphed into how her motherhood experience looked nothing like what she expected. She recounts her story of grief and loss with honesty and grace. I love her strength and resilience and I hope you do too.
Quotable Quote: You know that thing people say, “let me know how I can help” (which is not usually very helpful) but they want to be helpful? I think when you’re going through that darkness, there are people who want to help and it’s okay to say, “I need you” even though that feels so awful sometimes.
