In Season 2 Episode 4, B Magic & Noyz are joined by musician/songwriter/R&B singer Vaz. In this episode, Vaz discusses what life was like growing up in the UK, getting his start singing in the school choir, scoring success with some of his earliest recordings, migrating from England to Toronto and the challenges he and his family faced, how migration made it hard for him to pursue his art, building confidence on stage, the politics of race and radio, and so much more. At the time of this recording, Vaz was scheduled to undergo a kidney transplant surgery. We're happy to report that he has since had the operation and is recovering well. In this episode, he shares some of his thoughts around the operation and how it has changed his perspective on life, art, and what matters most to him.
