In this very special episode, Laura, Michael, and Tessa spoke with three early-career Gen-Z professionals about their perspectives on work and culture in today's modern workforce.

A little about our panelists:

Amelia Hayes is a Research Manager at the Korn Ferry Institute. Her focus is taking a cognitive science approach to questions in the domain of human capital consulting.

Beryl Wang is a Project Manager and Content Strategist at World 50. She has previous experience in management consulting and corporate communications. Beryl graduated from Yale University, with a BA in Psychology and served as captain of the women’s golf team. She resides in New York City.

Jack Farrell a CTM at Scipher Medicine. Jack is passionate about tackling problems in unique ways and within dynamic teams. A strong believer in finding passion in your work, he is looking forward to continuing to grow his skills in the biotechnology industry.

Amelia, Beryl, and Jack offer honest and eloquent insights throughout this 2-part series. In Part One, they discuss their baseline expecations as job-seekers, earning and strengthening trust at work, and each share what their generation cares about most when considering a new employer.

If you're curious about the Forbes statistic that Beryl mentions at 19:30, here is a link to the full article. The accurate statistic is: "... for almost 70% of people, their manager has more impact on their mental health than their therapist or their doctor - and it's equal to the impact of their partner". Staggering!

Be sure to also listen to Part Two of this super insightful series. Enjoy!
