The Grown Folks Podcast | Episode 11 | Get Your Mind Right - #Therapy For Black Girls

Thanks for coming back folks! In episode 11 of our grown folk chat, I'm talking to my good sister-friend, Shamim. She has become one of my closest friends, confidants and all round accountability partner in a VERY short space of time. We connected initially on creating some content for the Ugandan community, but that blossomed into a really raw, genuine connection centred around wellbeing, mindfulness, mental help and essentially dragging each other through our individual journeys with therapy. Listen in for a really honest chat about therapy for black girls, taking the step to ask for help, how to tell what a good therapist is and sticking to the journey. This episode was definitely inspired by one of our favourite podcasts ‘Therapy for Black Girls’, but we gave it a nice British-Ugandan flavour. Hope you enjoy listening! Nodreen Xx
