Meet Author and Educator, Sherri L. Smith! We chose her book, Flygirl, for our upper grades/middle school community read because it epitomizes hope for a better future. We dig in deep with Sherri about her various jobs leading up to writing this book about a black woman becoming a WWII Women's Airforce Service Pilot.
