How does screen time impact children’s physical and mental health Can screen time impact children’s development? How can we manage children’s screen time? Screen time can be spent in different ways - is one better than another? How can we help children thrive? About Dr Aric Sigman: Dr Sigman is a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Biology and the Royal Society of Medicine, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Chartered Scientist. His first degree was in Psychology which he followed with a Masters in The Neurophysiological Basis of Behaviour, before doing a Ph.D. in the field of the role of attention in autonomic nervous system self-regulation. Today Aric delivers PSHE talks to children, parents and staff at schools, as well as lectures to medical schools, NHS doctors and conferences. He is a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on a Fit and Healthy Childhood and publishes peer-reviewed medical papers on health and development subjects. To date he has authored five books on PSHE-related topics including Getting Physical which won The Times Educational Supplement's Information Book Award. He is also on the editorial advisory board for the Human Givens Journal.
