The original Alien movie is easily explained by saying that it is Star Wars meets 2001 A Space Odyssey meets The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Basically, Jaws but in Space. And when you can garner comparisons of all of those movies, then it is no wonder why it won an Oscar and is the 51st highest rated movie on IMDB. The movie that made us all afraid of stomach aches.
